Alumno responds to Public Comments

Alumno has been made aware that a number of people have made written representations to the planning application submitted. We would like to apologise to those individuals that we have not made contact before now but as you may be aware, it has been difficult to gain confirmation or indeed details of objections made from Durham County Council.  Obviously this situation is out of our hands, however we do want to tell you about how we are responding to them.

Firstly we have asked the Local Planning Authority to confirm that we now have copies of all representations submitted and we will make contact with all individuals or indeed groups who we are aware have submitted representations.

Additional information has been submitted to the Local Planning Authority specifically dealing with increased car parking proposals, additional management arrangements and an updated needs assessment. Obviously this information will be available at the Local Planning Authority but we have also uploaded them onto this website and they can be accessed below.

Fairhurst, the planning consultants appointed by Alumno, are also reviewing all representations submitted with our design team and as is necessary will be responding to the Local Planning Authority within the next few days. This response will be in the form of a letter and will also be posted on our website. Although we are trying to cover every matter raised, and the submission may not fully satisfy your concerns, but we do want to make sure you are fully aware of all the information submitted.

Obviously applicants do not have a requirement to correspond with individuals at this stage in the process but Alumno consider that we should make people aware of our position in relation to the application.
